Dvojatómové

Dvojatómové refers to a type of molecule composed of exactly two atoms. These molecules are also known as diatomic molecules. The atoms can be of the same element, forming a homonuclear diatomic molecule, or of different elements, forming a heteronuclear diatomic molecule.

Common examples of homonuclear diatomic molecules found in nature include hydrogen (H₂), nitrogen (N₂), and oxygen (O₂). These are fundamental components of Earth's atmosphere and play crucial roles in various chemical and biological processes. Halogens such as fluorine (F₂), chlorine (Cl₂), bromine (Br₂), and iodine (I₂) are also homonuclear diatomic molecules.

Heteronuclear diatomic molecules consist of two different atoms. Examples include carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen chloride (HCl), and nitric oxide (NO). The properties of heteronuclear diatomic molecules are influenced by the differing electronegativities of the constituent atoms, leading to a polar covalent bond in many cases.
