Droombeelden
Droombeelden (Dutch for dream images) is a term used in psychology, psychoanalysis, and the arts to refer to the imagery that appears in dreams, as well as symbolic visions that are evoked by dreaming. The phrase combines droom (dream) and beelden (images or visions). In Dutch-language scholarship the term is used to discuss both the content of dreams and the symbolic meanings that interpreters attribute to that content.
In psychology, droombeelden are analyzed to understand unconscious processes, with classical theories distinguishing manifest dream content
In art and literature, droombeelden often appear as surreal, fantastical, or uncanny images that blur the boundaries
