Driloidea
Driloidea is a superfamily of marine mollusks within the class Cephalopoda. It includes the squids and cuttlefishes, which are characterized by their ability to change color and texture for camouflage and communication. The superfamily is divided into two families: the Sepiidae, which includes the cuttlefishes, and the Sepiolidae, which includes the true squids. Both families share several common features, such as a mantle that is divided into two lobes, a siphuncle for respiration, and a complex nervous system. The superfamily is further divided into several subfamilies and genera, each with its own unique characteristics. Driloidea is an important group in marine ecosystems, as they play a crucial role in nutrient cycling and are a significant food source for many other marine animals.
