Dobieszyce

Dobieszyce is a village in southern Poland, located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the city of Piotrków Trybunalski County. It lies approximately 11 kilometers southwest of Piotrków Trybunalski and 55 kilometers south of Łódź.

Dobieszyce has a population of around 840 inhabitants, as of 2011. The landscape surrounding the village is predominantly a rural area with a mix of agricultural fields and forested areas. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cold winters.

The village has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages. Archeological findings suggest human settlement in the area as far back as the Neolithic period. In more recent times, Dobieszyce was a key location for the iron and coal industries that operated in the region.

There are a few notable buildings and landmarks in the village. The Catholic parish church in Dobieszyce, while not the original structure, has a history dating back to the 18th century. There are also several fields dedicated to the cultivation of sunflowers, which become a notable part of the village landscape during their blooming season.
