DnaAAktivität
DnaA is a protein essential for initiating DNA replication in bacteria. It belongs to the AAA+ ATPase family, a group of proteins that hydrolyze adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to fuel various cellular processes. DnaA acts as a key regulator, binding to specific DNA sequences called *oriC* (origin of replication).
The process begins with DnaA binding to *oriC*, which is typically a GATC-rich region. This binding event,
DnaA's activity is tightly regulated. The level of ATP-bound DnaA determines its ability to initiate replication.
