Divo

Divo is a town, commune, and sub-prefecture in southern Ivory Coast. It serves as the administrative seat of Divo Department, which is part of Lôh-Djiboua Region in the Gôh-Djiboua District. The town is located inland from the Atlantic coast and is connected by road to other regional centers.

Historically, Divo developed as an agricultural market town that serves surrounding rural communities. The area is known for its farming economy, with crops such as cocoa, yams, cassava, palm oil, and other staples supporting local livelihoods.

Economy and infrastructure in Divo are centered on agriculture and market activity. Cocoa remains a key cash crop for the region, complemented by food crops and livestock. The town hosts a weekly market and provides basic services, including primary and secondary schools and healthcare facilities. Road connections link Divo with major cities in the region, supporting trade and mobility.
