Dirijo

Dirijo is the first-person singular present indicative form of the Spanish verb dirigir. It translates as “I direct,” “I manage,” or “I run,” and is used when the speaker is actively directing or leading an action, project, organization, or operation. The sense can range from administrative leadership to guiding a process or a performance.

The verb dirigir comes from Latin dirigere, meaning “to direct” or “to guide.” In Spanish, many verbs of this type form the yo present as dirijo, corrijo, and similar, by replacing the g before i/e with a j to preserve the pronunciation of the sound.
