Dinosauriergruppen refers to the classification of dinosaurs into distinct groups based on shared characteristics. The most fundamental division is between Saurischia, or "lizard-hipped" dinosaurs, and Ornithischia, or "bird-hipped" dinosaurs. This distinction is based on the structure of their pelvic bones. Saurischia includes theropods, like Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptor, which were predominantly carnivorous bipedal dinosaurs, and sauropods, the long-necked, herbivorous giants such as Brontosaurus. Ornithischia encompasses a diverse range of herbivorous dinosaurs, including ornithopods, stegosaurs, ankylosaurs, and ceratopsians.
