Dilluns
Dilluns is the Catalan word for Monday. It marks the beginning of the traditional Western week, following Sunday and preceding Tuesday. The name derives from the Latin "dies lunae," meaning "day of the moon." In Catalan culture, as in many others, dilluns is often associated with the start of the work or school week, a transition from the rest of the weekend to the structured activities that typically follow. It is the first day of the "setmana," the Catalan word for week. Many people view dilluns as a day for renewed focus and planning for the days ahead. The concept of dilluns is deeply embedded in the cyclical understanding of time in Catalan society.
