Differenzdruckprüfungen, also known as differential pressure testing, are a method used to assess the integrity of barriers or enclosures. This technique involves creating a controlled pressure difference across a boundary, such as a wall, window, or ventilation system. By measuring the rate at which air flows or the pressure changes over time, one can infer the presence and extent of leaks.

The primary goal of differenzdruckprüfungen is to identify and quantify air infiltration or exfiltration. This is particularly important in building science for evaluating the airtightness of structures.
