Diaminohexane
Diaminohexane refers to any isomer of hexane that contains two amino groups. The most common and industrially significant isomer is 1,6-diaminohexane, also known as hexamethylenediamine. This compound is a colorless, crystalline solid with a strong amine odor. It is soluble in water and alcohol. 1,6-Diaminohexane is primarily produced through the hydrogenation of adiponitrile.
