DNSreplikációhoz refers to the process of replicating Domain Name System (DNS) data across multiple DNS servers. This is a crucial mechanism for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of DNS resolution services. When a DNS zone is replicated, its records are copied from a primary DNS server, often called the master, to one or more secondary DNS servers, also known as slaves. This distribution of DNS data allows for load balancing, as client queries can be directed to any available server, reducing the burden on a single master server. Furthermore, replication provides redundancy. If the master server becomes unavailable due to hardware failure, network issues, or maintenance, secondary servers can continue to respond to DNS queries, preventing service disruptions. The replication process is typically managed through zone transfer protocols. When changes are made to the DNS zone on the master server, it notifies the secondary servers that an update is available. The secondary servers then initiate a zone transfer to download the latest version of the zone data. This ensures that all authoritative DNS servers for a given domain have consistent and up-to-date information, allowing for accurate resolution of domain names to IP addresses across the internet.
