DNApolymer refers to a strand of deoxyribonucleic acid, a molecule essential for life. It is a long chain of repeating units called nucleotides. Each nucleotide consists of three parts: a deoxyribose sugar, a phosphate group, and one of four nitrogenous bases: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), or thymine (T). The phosphate group of one nucleotide links to the sugar of the next, forming a strong sugar-phosphate backbone. The nitrogenous bases project inwards from this backbone.
