DBKL

The Kuala Lumpur City Hall, or Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), is the local government authority responsible for the administration and management of the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Established on April 1, 1974, DBKL inherited the administrative functions of the former City Council of Kuala Lumpur. Its primary role is to plan, develop, and maintain the city's infrastructure, public amenities, and urban environment.

DBKL oversees a wide range of services, including city planning and development, traffic management, waste management, public health, and licensing. The agency is headed by a Mayor, who is appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong upon the recommendation of the Minister of Federal Territories.
