Coprolithin
Coprolithin is a protein found in the saliva of certain insects, most notably in the species *Drosophila melanogaster*, commonly known as the fruit fly. Its primary known function is as a component of the seminal fluid transferred during mating. Research has indicated that coprolithin plays a significant role in the post-mating behavior of female insects. Specifically, it has been linked to increased receptivity and reduced remating latency in females, meaning they are more likely to mate again sooner after an initial mating event.
