Comiéramos

Comiéramos is the first-person plural form of the imperfect subjunctive of the Spanish verb comer (to eat). It corresponds to the nosotros/nosotras form in the past subjunctive and is used in dependent clauses that require this mood. The form can also appear in the alternative spelling comiésemos.

Morphology and usage: The imperfect subjunctive endings for -er verbs like comer are -iéramos (or the alternative -iésemos). Comiéramos is used in subordinate clauses after expressions or verbs that call for the imperfect subjunctive, such as wishes, doubts, necessity in the past, or in conditional sentences that describe hypothetical situations.
