Cobaltmolybdenum
Cobaltmolybdenum refers to materials that combine cobalt and molybdenum, typically as binary alloys or intermetallics, and also to oxide compounds such as cobalt molybdate (CoMoO4). In alloys, cobalt and molybdenum are melted and blended to form a range of compositions. Depending on the ratio and heat treatment, the microstructure may include solid solutions and intermetallic phases, yielding high melting points, hardness, and wear resistance suitable for demanding environments.
