Citoplasmática

Citoplasmática is a term used in biology that refers to anything located within or pertaining to the cytoplasm of a cell. The cytoplasm is the jelly-like substance that fills the cell and surrounds the organelles. It is composed mainly of water, salts, and organic molecules.

Many vital cellular processes occur in the cytoplasm, including glycolysis, the initial stage of cellular respiration, and protein synthesis, which takes place on ribosomes that are either free in the cytoplasm or attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. The cytoskeleton, a network of protein filaments and tubules that provides mechanical support and maintains cell shape, is also found within the cytoplasm.

Certain cellular components are described as cytoplasmática when they are found within this region. For instance, cytoplasmática enzymes are those that catalyze reactions within the cytoplasm. Similarly, cytoplasmática movement refers to the motion of substances or organelles within the cytoplasm, a process often facilitated by motor proteins. The study of cytoplasmática structures and functions is fundamental to understanding cell biology and the overall physiology of living organisms.
