Childerici
Childerici, also known as Childeric I, was a Frankish king who ruled from 458 to 481 AD. He was the son of Clovis I, the founder of the Merovingian dynasty, and was named after his grandfather, Childeric. Childerici's reign was marked by significant territorial expansion and the establishment of Frankish power in Gaul. He successfully repelled the Visigothic invasions and expanded his kingdom to include parts of modern-day France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Childerici's reign also saw the conversion of the Franks to Christianity, with Childerici himself becoming a Christian. His reign ended with his death in 481, after which his son Clodovech I succeeded him. Childerici is remembered for his military prowess and his role in the early history of the Frankish kingdom.
