Chicoutimi
Chicoutimi is a former city in Quebec, Canada, now a borough of Saguenay. Located on the Saguenay River, it was founded in 1672 as a trading post. For centuries, it served as an important administrative and economic center for the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. The city's economy was historically driven by forestry and pulp and paper industries.
In 2002, Chicoutimi merged with three other municipalities to form the city of Saguenay. The borough retains
