Chartis

Chartis is a global insurance and financial services company. It was formed in 2009 when American International Group (AIG) separated its domestic and international property and casualty operations. Chartis operated as a subsidiary of AIG for several years, offering a wide range of insurance products and services to individuals and businesses worldwide.

In 2012, Chartis underwent a rebranding and officially changed its name back to AIG. This move aimed to unify the company's global brand identity and leverage the established reputation of AIG.
