CergyPontoise
Cergy-Pontoise is a French urban area in the Île-de-France region, located in the Val-d'Oise department about 30 kilometers northwest of Paris. It originated as one of the villes nouvelles, created in the late 1960s to guide growth of the Paris metropolitan region and to balance development beyond the city center. The area centers on the towns of Cergy and Pontoise and includes several surrounding communes.
