Cannavaro
Cannavaro is an Italian surname. The most prominent bearer is Fabio Cannavaro (born 1973), a former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Born in Naples, he rose through the youth system at Parma before establishing himself at Inter Milan, where he spent several seasons as a key member of the defense. He later played for Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al-Ahli, finishing his club career after stints in Italy and abroad. Internationally, Cannavaro earned over 100 caps for Italy and captained the national team to the 2006 FIFA World Cup title. His performances in the 2006 tournament earned him the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
