Canazei

Canazei is a comune (municipality) in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, northern Italy, located in the Val di Fassa in the autonomous province of Trento. It lies in the Dolomites, a mountain range that is part of the UNESCO Dolomites World Heritage Site. The municipality comprises the village of Canazei and several surrounding hamlets and is situated at roughly 1,450 meters above sea level. The area has a small, year-round population and is part of the Ladin cultural region; the Ladin language is part of the local heritage.
