Calidorus

Calidorus is a genus of extinct marine reptiles belonging to the order Plesiosauria. These creatures lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 90 to 75 million years ago. Fossils attributed to Calidorus have been discovered in various parts of the world, indicating a widespread distribution.

The exact phylogenetic placement of Calidorus within plesiosaur taxonomy has been a subject of scientific discussion. Initial classifications sometimes placed it within the Pliosauridae family, characterized by their short necks and large heads.
