CLIPRIPsekvenointia
CLIPRIPsekvenointia is a molecular biology technique used to study RNA-protein interactions within cells. It combines two experimental methods: CLIP (crosslinking immunoprecipitation) and RIP (RNA immunoprecipitation). CLIP is used to identify the direct binding sites of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) on RNA molecules. It involves treating cells with UV light to crosslink proteins to their bound RNAs. Then, antibodies specific to the RBP of interest are used to pull down the protein-RNA complexes. The RNA molecules are then purified and sequenced.
RIP, on the other hand, focuses on identifying RNA molecules that are associated with a specific protein.
This technique is valuable for investigating various biological processes, including gene regulation, RNA processing, and disease
