CH33SiBr, also known as methyltrichlorosilane, is an organosilicon compound with the chemical formula CH3SiBr3. It is a colorless liquid that is volatile and has a pungent odor. This compound is characterized by a silicon atom bonded to one methyl group and three bromine atoms. The silicon-carbon bond is polar, as is the silicon-bromine bond, due to the difference in electronegativity between silicon and the other elements.

CH3SiBr is a reactive compound and readily undergoes hydrolysis in the presence of moisture, producing silicon dioxide, hydrogen bromide, and methane.
