CD3G
CD3G is a gene that encodes a subunit of the T cell receptor (TCR) complex. This complex plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune system by recognizing and binding to antigens presented by other cells. The protein product of CD3G is a transmembrane protein that associates with other CD3 subunits, namely CD3D, CD3E, and CD3Z, as well as the TCR alpha and beta chains. Together, these components form the complete TCR complex.
The CD3 complex is essential for T cell activation. Upon antigen binding by the TCR, the CD3
