Butelkowanie is a traditional Polish folk custom primarily associated with the celebration of Easter, particularly in rural regions. The term derives from the word "butelka," meaning "bottle," and refers to the ritual of breaking bottles against the doorstep or walls of homes as a form of blessing and protection. This practice is believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune to the household.

The custom typically occurs during the Easter vigil or on Easter Sunday itself. Participants, often young people or unmarried men, gather bottles filled with water, wine, or sometimes beer.
