Bronstedbaserad
Bronstedbaserad refers to a classification of chemical compounds or theories that are based on the Brønsted-Lowry acid-base theory. This theory, proposed independently by Johannes Nicolaus Brønsted and Thomas Martin Lowry in 1923, defines an acid as a proton (H+) donor and a base as a proton acceptor.
In a Brønsted-Lowry acid-base reaction, a proton is transferred from an acid to a base. For example,
The term "brønstedbaserad" can therefore be used to describe substances that exhibit these proton-donating or proton-accepting
