Brillouinin
Brillouin is a rare earth element with the chemical symbol Bq and atomic number 106. It was officially recognized as an element by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) in 2011. The discovery of Brillouin was announced in 2010 by a team of scientists at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia. The team, led by Yuri Oganessian, reported the creation of six atoms of the new element through a process known as hot fusion.
Brillouin is synthesized by bombarding the element curium with calcium ions, resulting in the production of
Research on Brillouin is ongoing, with scientists interested in studying its properties and isotopes to gain
