Brandschutzauslässe
Brandschutzauslässe, also known as fire dampers, are passive fire protection devices installed in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) ductwork. Their primary function is to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through ventilation systems from one compartment to another. When a fire is detected, typically by a fusible link or an electrical actuator that responds to heat, the fire damper automatically closes. This closure seals the duct penetration, maintaining the fire resistance rating of the wall or floor assembly through which the duct passes.
