The Brihadeeswarar Temple, also known as the Great Living Chola Temples, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built by the Chola king Raja Raja Chola I. Construction of the temple began in 1003 AD and was completed in 1010 AD. The temple is a prime example of Dravidian architecture and a testament to the artistic and technological achievements of the Chola Empire.
