Bombela

Bombela, formally the Bombela Concession Company (Pty) Ltd, is a private South African consortium created to design, finance, construct, operate, and maintain the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link. Formed in 2006, its mandate was to deliver a rapid transit system in Gauteng through a public-private partnership with the South African government. The project comprises a new rail network that connects Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport with Sandton and Pretoria, and includes supporting infrastructure such as stations, depots, and maintenance facilities. The concession covers the long-term operation and upkeep of the system.
