Bladens

Bladens is a small rural village in the northern valley of Valoria, a fictional country. It lies along the Bladens River and is surrounded by orchards, hedgerows, and deciduous woodland. The village serves as a local agricultural and craft center, with a historic main street and a weekly market that draws residents from surrounding farms.

Bladens experiences a temperate maritime climate, with cool winters and mild summers. The landscape is rolling farmland interspersed with woodlands. The economy centers on apples, berries, and dairy, supplemented by small woodworking workshops and a guesthouse network for visitors.

Founded in the early 18th century by settlers from the coast, Bladens grew around a river crossing and a parish church. It was incorporated as a municipality in 1832. Today the town is governed by a mayor and a five-member town council elected for four-year terms within the Valorian rural district.

As of the latest estimates, Bladens has about 1,900 residents. The population is predominantly ethnic Valorians, with a small number of seasonal workers. Local education operates within the district, and the village hosts an annual harvest festival, a summer concert series, and a twice-weekly market. Notable landmarks include a 19th-century windmill and the nearby 17th-century parish church.
