Biozymes
Biozymes are a class of organic compounds, primarily proteins, that act as biological catalysts. They accelerate specific biochemical reactions within living organisms without being consumed in the process. Each biozyme is highly specific, meaning it typically catalyzes only one or a very limited range of reactions. This specificity is due to the unique three-dimensional structure of the biozyme, particularly its active site, which is shaped to fit a particular molecule, known as a substrate.
The mechanism of biozyme action involves binding the substrate to the active site, forming a biozyme-substrate
Biozymes are essential for virtually all biological processes, including metabolism, DNA replication, muscle contraction, and nerve
