Biosensorë

Biosensorë are analytical devices that combine a biological recognition element with a physicochemical transducer. The biological component, such as an enzyme, antibody, or nucleic acid, selectively binds to a specific analyte of interest. This binding event then triggers a change that is detected by the transducer, which converts the biological signal into a measurable output, typically an electrical or optical signal. This output is then processed and displayed as a quantitative or semi-quantitative result indicating the presence and/or concentration of the analyte.

The development of biosensorë has been driven by the need for rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of a wide range of substances. They find applications in diverse fields including healthcare for disease diagnosis and monitoring, environmental monitoring for pollutants, food safety testing for contaminants, and industrial process control.
