Biolysiassa is a hypothetical biological process where organisms are able to break down and reassemble their own cellular components in a controlled manner to adapt to environmental changes or to regenerate damaged tissues. The term is derived from the Greek words "bio" meaning life and "lysis" meaning to break down. This concept is currently theoretical and not a recognized biological phenomenon.

In a hypothetical biolysiassa scenario, an organism might initiate a self-deconstruction process to conserve energy during periods of scarcity or to eliminate senescent cells. Following this breakdown, the organism would then reconfigure its constituent molecules and organelles to form new, functional structures. This could potentially allow for rapid adaptation, such as altering metabolic pathways or even structural morphology, in response to extreme conditions like prolonged starvation or significant physical trauma.
