Biojätekeräys

Biojätekeräys, often translated as biowaste collection, refers to the systematic separation and collection of organic waste from households and businesses. This type of waste typically includes food scraps, garden trimmings, and other biodegradable materials. The primary goal of biojätekeräys is to divert these organic materials from landfills, where they can decompose anaerobically and produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
