Bildepunktet

Bildepunktet is a term used in optics and photography. It refers to the point where light rays converge after passing through a lens or reflecting off a mirror. For a converging lens or a convex mirror, this is a real point in space where a sharp image can be formed. For a diverging lens or a concave mirror, the bildepunktet is a virtual point from which light rays appear to diverge.

The location of the bildepunktet is determined by the focal length of the optical element and the distance of the object from the element. In the case of a lens, it is the point on the principal axis where parallel rays of light converge after refraction. Similarly, for a mirror, it is the point on the principal axis where parallel rays of light converge after reflection.
