Bedziecie

Bedziecie is a district located in the Chodzież County, Great Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The district covers an area of approximately 206.3 square kilometers and has a population of around 7,500 people. It is situated in the western part of the county, bordering the districts of Chodzież, Cibele, and Kamionka.

The name "bedziecie" is derived from the nickname of the protoplast of the district, also called Bedziecie, who was the founder of the settlement. The district has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages, when it was a village belonging to the Bishop of Lebus. In the 19th century, the village of Bedziecie underwent significant changes, with the construction of the railway line between Chodzież and Międzychód.

Economically, the district is primarily an agricultural area, with a significant portion of the land dedicated to farming and animal husbandry. The main crops cultivated in Bedziecie include grain, potatoes, and vegetables, which are sold at local markets.
