Bauvergaben, or construction tenders, refer to the process of inviting bids for construction projects and awarding contracts to the successful bidders. This process is a crucial aspect of the construction industry, ensuring transparency, fairness, and competition in the allocation of public and private construction projects.

The process of Bauvergaben typically begins with the project owner, who can be a public entity or a private company, preparing a tender document. This document outlines the project's scope, specifications, timelines, and other relevant details. It also includes the criteria for bid evaluation, such as price, technical capability, and past performance.

Once the tender document is ready, it is advertised publicly to invite bids from interested contractors. The advertisement is usually published in newspapers, industry journals, or online tender portals. The tender period, during which contractors can submit their bids, is typically between 4 to 8 weeks.

After the tender period ends, the project owner evaluates the bids based on the pre-determined criteria.
