Bada

Samsung bada was a mobile operating system developed by Samsung Electronics for smartphones. Announced in 2010, it powered devices in the Samsung Wave line and provided a platform for native C-based and HTML5 apps through the bada framework and Samsung Apps store. It was intended as a competitor to iOS and Android but was phased out as Samsung shifted to the Tizen platform, with development and support winding down in the early 2010s.

In Hindi and related languages, bada means “big” or “elder,” and is used as an adjective in everyday speech as well as in compound names and expressions. The term can also appear as a personal or place-name element in various cultures.
