Backströmning

Backströmning is a Swedish term that translates to "backflow" or "backwash" in English. It generally refers to the backward movement of fluid, such as water or gas, in a pipe or channel. This phenomenon can occur in various contexts, including plumbing systems, industrial processes, and natural water bodies.

In plumbing, backflow is a concern because it can contaminate potable water supplies with non-potable substances.
