Autoévidence

Autoévidence is a term used in philosophy and cognitive science to describe a state of direct and immediate understanding or knowledge that does not require further justification or proof. It refers to propositions or experiences that are self-evident, meaning their truth or validity is apparent to the observer without the need for external evidence or reasoning.

The concept of autoévidence is closely related to foundationalism in epistemology, which posits that knowledge is built upon a base of basic beliefs that are self-justifying.
