Assenons

Assenons are a class of organic compounds characterized by a nitrogen atom bonded to three other atoms, typically carbon. They are also known as tertiary amines. The nitrogen atom in an assenon has a lone pair of electrons, which contributes to their chemical reactivity and basicity. Assenons are prevalent in both natural and synthetic products, playing crucial roles in biological systems and industrial applications.

In biological contexts, assenons are fundamental components of many important molecules. For instance, neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin are assenons, mediating crucial communication pathways in the brain.
