Arvetekinnitus

Arvetekinnitus, often translated as "proof of inheritance" or "confirmation of inheritance," is a legal process in Estonia that establishes the rightful heirs to a deceased person's estate. This process is crucial for transferring ownership of assets such as real estate, bank accounts, and other property from the deceased to their beneficiaries.

The process is initiated by the heirs or a notary. The notary plays a central role in administering the arvetekinnitus. They are responsible for gathering all necessary documents, identifying the heirs, and verifying their legal right to inherit.
