Arnoran

Arnoran is a fictional kingdom located in the northern regions of the continent of Middle-earth, as depicted in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. It was founded by Arnor, the elder son of Elendil, who sailed to Middle-earth with his father and brother from the sinking island of Númenor. Arnoran was established in the year 3320 of the Second Age, shortly after the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.

The kingdom of Arnoran encompassed a vast territory, including the lands of Eriador. Its capital was the city of Fornost Erain, also known as Fornost. Arnoran was a beacon of Men's strength and civilization in the north, and its kings were descendants of Elendil. The realm faced many challenges, including incursions from the Witch-king of Angmar, who sought to destroy the Dúnedain kingdoms in the north.

Over time, Arnoran was divided into several smaller kingdoms, including Arthedain, Cardolan, and Rhudaur. These successor states continued to resist the forces of Angmar, but eventually, Arnoran as a unified kingdom ceased to exist. The lands were largely devastated, and the population scattered. Remnants of the Dúnedain, known as the Rangers of the North, continued to protect the region in secret for centuries. The legacy of Arnoran persisted in the hearts of these brave few, awaiting a time of renewal.
