Arkitektens

Arkitektens is a grammatical form in the Scandinavian languages (primarily Swedish, Norwegian and Danish) meaning "the architect's" or "of the architect". It is the definite genitive of the noun arkitekt ("architect") and is used to mark possession, attribution or association in the same way English uses an apostrophe-s.

Form and usage: the form is created by adding the clitic -s to the definite noun (arkitekt + -s → arkitektens). It commonly appears before another noun to indicate ownership or relation, for example arkitektens ritning ("the architect's drawing") or arkitektens hus ("the architect's house").
