Arbetsmiljölag

Arbetsmiljölag, also known as the Work Environment Act, is a Swedish law that regulates working conditions. Its primary purpose is to prevent ill health and accidents at work, and to create a good and safe working environment for all employees. The law applies to all employers and employees in Sweden, regardless of sector or industry.

The Arbetsmiljölag establishes the employer's responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace. The Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) is the government agency responsible for overseeing and enforcing the Arbetsmiljölag. They conduct inspections, provide guidance, and can issue orders or fines to employers who fail to comply with the law. The law also encourages collaboration between employers and employees through work environment committees and safety representatives.
